L’interazione fra i parlamenti nazionali e le istituzioni comunitarie dopo Lisbona
    in Studi sull'integrazione europea , Anno V, n. 3, settembre-dicembre ,  2010 ,  609-630
The Lisbon Treaty, in the process of European integration, constitutes an important step in the involvement of national parliaments in European Union affairs. A new general article of declaratory value has been inserted in Article 12 of the Treaty on European Union, stating that “national parliaments contribute actively to the good functioning of the Union”, but there are other new rules in the Protocol on the application of the principles of subsidiarity and proportionality and in the Protocol on the role of national parliaments. This paper analyses how the Lisbon Treaty shapes the new role of national parliaments in the European Union. We will have to check how these new provisions concerning national parliaments will be applied.
