L’Europa dopo Versailles. Dalla questione delle riparazioni alla politica di appeasement
    in Europea , Anno 2, n. 1, maggio ,  2017 ,  17-31
The purpose of this essay is to illustrate the events that, after the Peace Conference, interested the European continent. In particular, the work will take into account the period elapsed from the opening of the complex question of German reparations to the origins of the policy of appeasement. The problem of German reparations, from January 1920, lasted until the Lausanne Conference of 1932, which closed the matter. In this period, all European countries will be involved in the overall effort to create a system that would ensure continental security without unduly affecting the already precarious balance emerging from the Versailles Peace Treaty. The arrival of Hitler upset all plans: in fact, in coping with his policies, the appeasement opened by Britain – and supported by France – and the American neutrality will be decisive for a new, dramatic upheaval that will affect Europe and the whole world.
