    Relaciones intergubernamentales horizontales de la Comunidad de Madrid (1983-2003): la buena vecindad

    This report describes and analyses, firstly, the relations between Madrid Region and the rest of the Spanish Autonomous Communities since 1983 till 2003 and, secondly, focuses on the relations with the two neighboring regions, which according to its Statute of autonomy must maintain special relationships, and which shares significant identity and cultural elements. The main source of information is the newspaper archives, collecting news on the main agreements signed, along with the information from Madrid Region on these agreements. The report provides a first information and analysis on inter-regional relations, an aspect rarely studied in intergovernmental relations in Spain, particularly in Autonomous Communities such as Madrid.
