    The crisis of institutional legitimacy has become visible in the Parliament because of the excessive politicization and the susceptibility of parliamentarians for pressure from political parties and private or corporate interests as well as stakeholders. The Parliament has tolerated these conflicts of interest, and has become increasingly intransparent and distant from the citizen.
